Pizza was flavorful and the dough was tasty, however it was undercooked and bit soggy. Salad was pretty bland. I think there are better options for nice pizza in the city.

Hi Jonathan, I am sorry you feel this way. I assure you we are doing everything on our part to take care of our employees, and I assure you they make far more than minimum wage hourly. I am sorry that you find folding boxes and running credit cards to be deemed unworthy of fair compensation, but the truth is %70 of our business has been take away the past year and they would not make enough money if we relied on people like yourself to tip accordingly, regardless of what task they may be performing and they perform at a very high level. As the owner and operator ( and former server) I personally think adding a labelled gratuity would be more honest to the guest than just adding %25 percent upcharge on all items and then letting the owners (Myself) pocket extra money. Personally, I believe my Co-workers are worth more than a %20 gratuity and deserve more respect than what most diners have given in the last year. Once again, sorry you feel this way but there are many other inflated priced pizzas for you to enjoy. If charging more money honestly for my people is business suicide, so be it. Thanks for your concern. -Bryn

Here's the deal. I was about to order pizza for a birthday gathering at my buddy's house tonight, and I caught that they have a 20 percent compulsory service fee on top of their overly inflated prices. I realize the price of the pizzas is fully subjective, but forcing folks to tip 20 percent for TAKE AWAY SERVICE is business suicide. Counter service employees at a restaurant should be making regular wages, not the $2.13 an hour that servers make. This is the establishment not wanting to pony up to help its employees, and making a poor attempt to pass the obligation to you, the customer. When I eat out (not take away) I tip 20 percent across the board, or even higher in some circumstances. This should be status quo because I'm being literally waited on, and I shouldn't go out to eat if I can't afford to take care of my server. What's happening here is not that. Boxing up a pizza, and running a credit card simply isn't a 20 percent tip situation. It isn't. And if the establishment values its customers AND it's employees, it needs to utilize programs like the PPP loan and SBA loan that we have available, instead of passing this to the customer. I wish Ancora the best, because I'm a small business owner myself, and this last year has been a doozie, but this approach simply isn't the answer.

Took more than 7 attempts to call an order in as I was met by either a busy signal or voicemail. Pizza itself was prepared in a timely fashion. Flavorful toppings were a bit stingy as well. Didn't quite live up to the hype.
